Our children’s librarians are all avid readers, but when it comes to choosing award-winning children's books, they can really play favorites. We talked to some of our children’s librarians in our branches to see what they love to read and why. Laurie Reese shared with me that “Everyone has different reasons for their choices, but I think what ties the books together is joy and love”. Linda Israelson echoed her thoughts and added that it's really the quality of the books and the children's immediate connection that swayed her choices. What lovely sentiments indeed.
