If you’re a new, unexpected homeschool parent and are feeling overwhelmed, take a deep breath. You are not alone! Local school closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic have sent millions of parents scrambling to re-create the classroom experience at home. A recent Los Angeles Times article detailed the stress working parents are feeling while they face their new roles of teacher. The good news is the library's e-media offerings include a number of guides from seasoned homeschool parents who have faced that stress and lived to tell about it.

For even more ways to improve your homeschooling experience, try out the library’s free online learning offerings. Gale Courses features 6-week, instructor-led, interactive tools for teachers courses, including the timely and relevant Homeschool with Success.
