We’ve got less than a week to go for our Summer Reading Challenge. Completing the challenge this late in the game may appear daunting, but you’ve probably been racking up points without even knowing it. Visit an L.A. landmark? Give yourself 100 points. Went for a hike in Griffith Park? That's another 100 points. Enjoyed a summer concert? Claim 100 additional points. Add those activities to the summer reading you’ve been doing, and you’re probably almost to the finish line if not already past it.

If all of those activities have you tired out, the good news is finishers get a large cup so you can enjoy a nice cold beverage and enjoy the satisfaction that comes with completing a good challenge. All finishers will also be entered to win a spot at the library's "Party in the Sky" at the OUE Skyspace across the street from our Central Library, where winners will be able to enjoy incredible views of the city from the tallest open-air observation deck in DTLA, while also taking a ride on the Skyslide, a fully enclosed, all-glass adventure landing on the exterior of the iconic US Bank Tower.

So pick up a book, explore the world around you and discover that Reading Takes You Everywhere!
