Nacida en Queens, Nueva York, Anika ahora vive en Rhode Island con su familia.

Anika Aldamuy Denise is the award-winning author of A Girl Named Rosita: The Story of Rita Moreno: Actor, Singer, Dancer, Trailblazer!; Planting Stories: The Life of Librarian and Storyteller Pura Belpré; and Starring Carmen!. Her books have been selected and highlighted by The New York Times, Today.com, Smithsonian Magazine, Junior Library Guild, A Mighty Girl, and the Center for the Study of Multicultural Literature. A native of Queens, New York, Anika now lives in Rhode Island with her family.
