Juana Martinez-Neal

Juana Martinez-Neal is the daughter and granddaughter of painters. Alma and How She Got Her Name and Alma y cómo obtuvo su nombre, were her first books as author-illustrator. The English edition was awarded a 2019 Caldecott Honor. Juana was born in Peru, and now lives in Arizona with her family.
