During this interactive workshop, author Jason Boog will demonstrate key "interactive reading" techniques for making storytime more effective. He will also show kids and parents ebooks and book apps they can use together--showing how ipads, apps and ebooks can be used in a beneficial way. He will also show parents how to access the LAPL's digital resources for kids.

Jason Boog is the West Coast correspondent for Publishers Weekly. His writing has been featured on NPR and in the Los Angeles Review of Books, The Believer, and Salon. He was the publishing editor at Mediabistro and lead editor of their popular blog on all things publishing, GalleyCat, for five years.

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
