  • STAR volunteer reading to children

    STAR Storytime With Jen

    Our STAR volunteers read to children one-on-one or in small groups. No sign-up is required. Take home a free book to keep after attending three STAR storytimes at our branch.STAR storytimes are subject to change or cancellation, depending on volunteer schedules.     BARK Kids Read to a Dog

    Join us for the BARK Certified Therapy Dogs program! This fun reading practice is designed for children, allowing early- to advanced-level readers to build confidence and improve their reading skills. While the program is suggested for grades 1-5, younger readers are warmly welcome to participate.

    Brentwood Nonfiction Book Club

    The Brentwood Nonfiction Book Club holds lively discussions of different nonfiction books each month. The group reads books with a wide range of styles, subjects, and perspectives.     Teen Summer Reading Book Club

    Join our Teen Book Club this summer! In our first meeting, we began the book The White Guy Dies First together.At this meeting, we will share our final thoughts on the book. Teens who were present at both meetings will receive a special prize. This program is intended for ages 13-18.
