    Storytime

    Parents, babies, toddlers, and preschoolers join us for 45 minutes of stories, songs, play, and more! This storytime is for children ages 0-5, but children of all ages are welcome to attend.

    Read With Star Volunteer Miss Sandy

    All children are invited to read stories with our volunteer, Miss Sandy. Share in the joy of reading with our STAR volunteer every Monday. Take home a free book after coming to three STAR events at our branch.

    Children are invited to share the joy of storytelling and reading with our special STAR volunteers Beryl, Barbara, Annette, and Lynda. Come three times and take home a free book.

    STAR Storytime With Michelle

    Our STAR volunteers read to children one-on-one or in small groups. No sign-up is required. Take home a free book to keep after attending three STAR storytimes at our branch. STAR storytimes are subject to change or cancellation, depending on volunteer schedules. Call us at 818-755-7873 to confirm.

    Pages of Pride (Grades 6-12)

    Join us for a discussion of Coffee Shop in an Alternate Universe by C.B. Lee and learn to weave a mug rug. Pages of Pride is a book club that focuses on young adult and middle-grade books featuring LGBTQIA characters. All readers in grades 6-12 are welcome.

    Join the Tuesday Afternoon Book Club to discuss Jean Stafford's The Mountain Lion and enjoy light refreshments.  New members are always welcome. Books are available at the reference desk.

    Brentwood Nonfiction Book Club

    The Brentwood Nonfiction Book Club holds lively discussions of different nonfiction books each month. The group reads books with a wide range of styles, subjects, and perspectives. For information about upcoming selections, please get in touch with the library at brntwd@lapl.org. Copies of the selected books will be available for pickup at the library's circulation desk.
