You Are a Library is a guided exploration of the departments, resources and collections within ourselves.

Greetings. This is an audio experience within the Central Library of Los Angeles Public Library. It is a part of the Los Angeles Public Library Creator in Residence program, brought to you by the Bureau of Nooks and Crannies.

To participate, you will need headphones, a portable device to access the internet, and at least 17 minutes available for whimsical wandering.

This is a mischievous meditation.

In fact, you can begin right where you are.

That is, as long as you are at Central Library. In front of the sign that says BEGIN.

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
