Description:

Take a dive into the world of sustainable, unique mending. Transform one well-loved (stained, ripped, etc.) item using techniques such as patchwork and basic embroidery. This workshop is great for folks who are new to sewing but want to get into mending clothes quickly and on a budget. Please bring items of clothing you’d like to mend. All other materials will be provided.

This event is part of the No Prior Art program series which celebrates invention and innovation. No Prior Art runs from September 2024 to May 2025 and will result in 50+ programs across 22 participating branch locations. To learn more, please visit lapl.org/nopriorart. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
