Diversability welcomes you to cosplay and learn about the culture of cosplay and its creative intersection with the disability community through storytelling, workshops, programming, and interactive activities. Join us for a day of fun, creativity, and inclusivity for all ages.

Live Theater Performances With Spectrum Laboratory
Time: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Location: 2nd floor landing
Spectrum Laboratory celebrates neurodiversity and inclusion in the arts. By empowering and educating student artists in acting, film, music, and voiceover, students pursue their passions while learning to be successful within the larger entertainment industry. Today's presentations are performed by neurodivergent actors who will bring the event's interactive storytelling elements to life while engaging with attendees to foster a greater sense of neurodivergent acceptance, creativity, and immersion.
Comics Zine Workshop With Able ARTS Work
Time: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Location: 2nd floor balcony
The primary mission of Able ARTS Work is to provide lifelong learning, community service, and vocational opportunities through the creative arts for people of all abilities and ages in an environment of warmth, encouragement, and inclusion.
UC LEND + UCLA All Brains Presents Cosplay and the Neurodivergent Community
Time: 11 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. & 12:40 p.m. - 1:10 p.m.
Location: 2nd floor, main stage
UC LEND (University of California Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) trains health professionals and organizations to provide quality care for neurodivergent patients. UC LEND also oversees UCLA All Brains, a student-led organization that focuses on neurodiversity training for UCLA campus faculty and students and provides fun, engaging programming for neurodivergent students. They are leaders in neurodiversity training and have guided UCLA to become one of the most neurodivergent-friendly campuses.
DIY Superhero Paper Mask Making (while supplies last)

Create a superhero mask! Cosplay is required to enter the Cosplay/Sensory Room. Drop in while supplies last.
DIY Western African Bead Bracelets (while supplies last)
Time: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Location: Community Room
Channel Esi and the Swifts by creating a bracelet with beautiful paper beads in African prints. Drop in while supplies last.
Mini Therapy Horses
Time: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Location: Patio
Learn about the mental health benefits of miniature therapy horses. Patrons of all ages are invited to pet and take photos with the horses.
Cosplayer’s Guide to Accessible Designs With Disability in Mind
Time: 11:40 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Asha Chai-Chang from Light of Enrichment / Love My Productions is an Emmy-winning filmmaker and two-time Netflix writer/director fellow. She is a Jewish, Afro-Latina, and Caribbean-Asian female director with disabilities. She disrupts stigmas throughout the entertainment industry by creating accessible and inclusive sets for productions and advocating for diverse storytelling.

The Art of Disability Cosplay With Kim Chua
Time: 1:20 p.m. - 2 p.m.

"The Art of Disability Cosplay" celebrates the creative intersection of disability and cosplay. It explores how characters, including those with disabilities, are brought to life through innovative costume design and performance, highlighting the talents and perspectives of disabled cosplayers. From iconic heroes to imaginative interpretations, disabled cosplayers showcase their creativity and passion for cosplay in all its forms. Join us for an engaging exploration of how cosplay can celebrate creativity and diversity!
