Mayra Cuevas es la autora de la novela para adolescentes Does My Body Offend You? (co-escrita con Marie Marquardt), nominada para el PEN/Faulkner Award, nombrada Un Libro Que Todos los Jóvenes de Georgia Deberían Leer en 2023, uno de los Mejores Libros del Año en 2022 de la Biblioteca Pública de Nueva York y libro del mes en la cadena Target. Su primer libro es la novela romantica para adolescentes Salty, Bitter, Sweet. Nacida y criada en Puerto Rico, Mayra trabajó como periodista galardonada para CNN. Actualmente, es profesora de escritura creativa en el programa graduado MFA de City University of New York. Mayra es co-fundadora del Latinx Kidlit Book Festival, recipientes del Premio de Advocacía del National Council of Teachers of English’s Latinx and Black Caucus.

Mayra Cuevas is the author of the young adult novel Does My Body Offend You? (co-written with Marie Marquardt), long-listed for the PEN/Faulkner Award, named a 2023 Book All Young Georgians Should Read, a New York Public Library Best Books for Teens 2022 and a Target YA Book Club selection. She is also the author or the YA foodie romcom Salty, Bitter, Sweet. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Mayra is a former CNN award-winning producer. Currently, she teaches creative writing at City University of New York’s MFA graduate program. Mayra is a co-founder of the Latinx Kidlit Book Festival, recipient of the National Council of Teachers of English, 2022 Latinx and Black Caucus’s Advocacy Award.
