L.A. Libros Fest
Los Angeles Libros Festival es un festival literario bilingüe gratuito para toda la familia. Es una celebración de tradiciones escritas y orales, el festival ofrecerá cuentos y música de México, Guatemala, El Salvador, Colombia, España, Chile y los Estados Unidos. A través de un programa animado e interdisciplinario de alta calidad, el festival creará un espacio cultural inclusivo para involucrar e inspirar a actuales y futuras generaciones de angelinos bilingües.
L.A. Libros Fest es una colaboración entre la Biblioteca Pública de Los Ángeles, LA librería y REFORMA Los Angeles Chapter. LA librería es la única librería en el sur de California que se especializa en literatura infantil y juvenil en español y libros bilingües. El Los Angeles Chapter of REFORMA, la asociación nacional para promover servicios bibliotecarios y de información a latinos e hispanohablantes, es una organización sin fines de lucro comprometida a abogar por servicios bibliotecarios para cumplir con información y las necesidades culturales de la comunidad latina en el área metropolitana de Los Ángeles.
El arte para el festival fue creado por el galardonado ilustrador Leo Espinosa.
Protocolo de COVID-19
A partir del 3 de octubre del 2022, ya no se requieren coberturas faciales en las bibliotecas de la ciudad; pero al igual que en otros espacios interiores, todavía se recomienda encarecidamente su uso.
About L.A. Libros Fest
The Los Angeles Libros Festival is a free bilingual book festival for the whole family. Celebrating written and oral traditions, the festival will feature stories and music from around the world—including México, Guatemala, El Salvador, Colombia, Spain, Chile—and the United States. Through a high-quality, lively, and interdisciplinary program, the festival will create an inclusive cultural space to engage and inspire current and future generations of bilingual Angelenos.
Los Angeles Libros Fest is a collaboration between the Los Angeles Public Library, LA librería, and REFORMA Los Angeles Chapter. LA librería is the only bookstore in Southern California specializing in Spanish language and bilingual children’s and YA literature. The Los Angeles Chapter of REFORMA, the National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish-Speaking, is a non-profit organization committed to advocating for culturally relevant and linguistically appropriate library services, programs, and materials to meet the information and cultural needs of the Latino community in the Greater Los Angeles Area.
The artwork for the festival was created by award-winning illustrator Leo Espinosa.
COVID Safety
As of Monday, October 3, 2022, masks are no longer required in city libraries; like in other indoor places, masks are still strongly encouraged.

Plan Your Visit
The Los Angeles Libros Festival’s Virtual School Day will be streamed live on YouTube on Friday, September 29, from 9 a.m. - 12 noon.
The in-person festivities will take place on Saturday, September 30, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Central Library located at 630 W. Fifth St. in downtown Los Angeles.
Transporte público
El uso de transporte público es sumamente recomendado. Las líneas A (Azul), B (Roja), y D (Morada) del Metro tienen paradas cerca de la Biblioteca Central. Public Transportation
Public transportation is highly encouraged. The Metro A (Blue), B (Red), and D (Purple) Lines have stops near Central Library. Most buses that come downtown stop near the Central Library. Check the Metro website for rates, routes, and schedules.
Downtown residents are encouraged to take the DASH “B” route to Central Library. Service runs every 10 minutes from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visit ladottransit.com/dash for more info.

The Los Angeles Public Library does not own or operate public parking facilities in the vicinity of the Central Library. Limited reduced-rate parking is available at the parking garage located at 524 South Flower St. directly underneath Central Library.
Parking validation for this parking garage is available at the Information Desk. Parking validation rates of $1, payable at the parking garage only between the hours of 9:30 a.m and 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays.

A library card is not needed to attend the event. If you don’t already have a Los Angeles Public Library card, we encourage you to sign up for one at the Circulation desk located in the first floor. Library cards are free to residents of California and the Los Angeles Public Library no longer charges late fines! Parking validation will require a library card.
