21st Century Kids: Enjoy Winter Reads

“The color of springtime is in the flowers; The color of winter is in the imagination.”—Terri Guillemets

The winter season can be challenging to endure. For some, extreme weather conditions prevent daily outside activities, and time inside the house is increased. For me, winter is a time to seek warmth and enjoy the crisper air inherent in the season. Most of all, the colder days provide a great time for delving into a good book. Let your imagination soar with this selection of books set in the winter season.

“For winter was coming. The days were shorter, and frost crawled up the window panes at night. Soon the snow would come. Then the log house would be almost buried in snowdrifts, and the lake and the stream would freeze.”―Laura Ingalls Wilder
