Provides emergency and transitional residential services for homeless unaccompanied women as well as mothers with children. Residential programs exclude individuals who have substance abuse issues, convictions of assault on police officers or registered sex offenders. Offers case management, education and training, and employment services. Runs an emergency shelter and three residential houses.

Intake for newly homeless is on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 8 am sharp. Phone call only - call 213-250-5241. You may also call 213-250-5241 for drop-in services.

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
