LAZ MEIMAN: Dear Dr. Cruz,

LAZ MEIMAN: Thank you for our call this morning. As we have discussed, I will send you the three patients next week, probably on Tuesday. The three patients are Seth, otherwise known as The Raven Man, Edith, who was married to the late Annabel Lee, and Calpernia, who is best known for murdering her father. Seth is a very secretive man who never liked people coming over to his house and is very antisocial. He prefers his surroundings to be dark and empty because he fears the light would harm him physically and emotionally. Seth already knows there’s something wrong with him but he prefers to ignore it, which makes him sink deeper into his vacant mind. We think he can handle open wards and he does not need to be locked up. Edith is a woman who always loved her beloved Annabel. Indeed, I’m afraid she’s been obsessed with her Annabel. She’s a very persistent person and loves to draw pictures of Annabel, but as days went past, all her pictures of Annabel have turned into distant memories filled with black figures. Edith told me that she can no longer stand Annabel and that all she does is follow Edith around and send whispers to her when she’s sleeping. She too is minimum security. And lastly, Calpernia is very very different. She is someone who looks innocent on the outside but is completely different on the inside. She’s a very disruptive girl with little to no morals at all. Calpernia was conscious and knew what she was doing when she murdered her father, which makes it that much worse. Calpernia doesn’t like it when others talk over her and she has a knack for twitching her head every time someone mentions her father. She is capable of manipulating others and causing a scene. Above all, we have noticed that Calpernia loves to inflict pain on herself and explains how much she enjoyed it afterward. She needs to be in a maximum-security ward, however, she does not need to be in a straitjacket. Kind regards, Dr. Edgar Allan Poe
