Description:
Join us for a fun and funky Urban line dancing class! Urban or "Soul" line dances don't require a partner and consist of a choreographed sequence of steps that everyone does in unison. The music used for urban line dancing derives primarily from African-American culture: Jazz, R&B, Funk, Hip Hop, Caribbean, African, etc.
Urban line dancing goes back decades but has become very popular over the last 15 years as people have come to appreciate the health and social benefits of line dancing. Urban line dances can go from simple to very complicated. In this class, we will focus on some of the classic "easy peasy" line dance routines that everyone can pick up and enjoy.
Dance instructor Wilbert McZeal aims to get everyone up on the dance floor regardless of age or natural ability...having fun is the goal! So come enjoy the music and get ready to move your feet to the beat.
