Description:

Adults can work with a walk-in tutor for 15-20 minutes. Walk-in tutoring is available on a first come, first served basis. Our free services include:

Reading assistance
Writing assistance
Practicing English conversation skills

No appointments or reservations are required. Please call (323) 226-1692 one hour before coming into the library to confirm the availability of a tutor. For more information, please call (213) 228-7037 ext.102 or email lincolnliteracy@lapl.org.

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
