Description:

This dance instruction program, taught by award-winning dance educator and life coach Ilona Glinarsky, explores the essence of Argentine Tango, a social partner dance based on connection. Designed with the complete novice in mind, this workshop will be engaging, educational, creative, and fun. While practicing fundamental steps and patterns, participants will discover and embody the deeper lessons tango has to offer, which can be integrated into one's own "dance of life."

No partner or dance experience is needed!

Participants will learn:

  • Basic steps and concepts of authentic Argentine Tango (social dance style)

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of:

  • Argentinian culture as it relates to tango, its "rituals" and "codes"
  • Argentine Tango music
  • Embodied mindfulness and complete presence in every step
  • Teamwork
  • Non-verbal communication
  • Connection with their own body
