Have you written and self-published a novel? Get the recognition you deserve for writing a great book. Los Angeles Public Library is participating in The California Author Project, a statewide contest that seeks to find the best self-published adult or young adult fiction book written by a California resident.
Winners in each category will receive $500 as well as:

- Honors at the 2021 Indie Author Day reception
- The opportunity to promote your book at California public libraries
We are excited to promote this opportunity to the local author community. Submissions are open through May 31, 2021, and a panel of California librarians will judge the work.
