The library’s Summer Reading Challenge 2020 is in full swing and the staff of the Social Science, Philosophy & Religion department are challenging our patrons to read at least 20 minutes a day. We recognize many folks prefer reading about real people and events, and our collection delivers on amazing nonfiction titles. As the name suggests, our department covers a huge range of topics: from tarot and astrology to ethnic studies and feminism; from policing, law and punishment, politics and foreign affairs, to child development, psychology, and self-help. Our array of topics will satisfy all nonfiction lovers and information seekers!
Every week we are posting book recommendations, so make sure to head over to our Facebook page to check them out. Featured titles include our Critics Picks, which have been reviewed recently by a major United States newspaper. In June we are also featuring Pride Picks from our LGBTQIA collection. You can also contact us directly through our email form if you’d like help selecting a book.
